Olympia 2004

In 2018, I documented the decayed remnants of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Celebrated as a historic event, these Games left behind impressive sports facilities that are now largely abandoned. My photographs capture the deserted stadiums and venues, once brimming with life, now silent witnesses to a bygone era. They depict nature's reclamation and serve as reminders of oblivion, reflecting on the transience of fame and the long-term consequences of such major events.
